As we worked very hard on our ideas for Poppledown Town and our own village, our learning walk continued with some fantastic ideas ..... a castle so that the queen could visit, a fire station and also a wonderful restaurant that serves delicious food! Have a look at the work we carried out below.
In other learning, this week we are focusing on non-fiction. We are identifying facts from information texts and clips all about dinosaurs. We are then using our phonic and keyword knowledge to write our own facts. In maths we are developing an awareness of doubling and we are counting very carefully to make sure we are correct! We are also going on our own dinosaur hunt to see if we can find any fossils like Mary Anning.

In drawing club this week we have been finding out about a story from the past. We have explored Bagpuss! He lived in a shop of objects that his owner found and then created stories for his friends to help fix them. We then drew our own representations of Bagpuss and created a code that would help him fix the broken objects. Look at the link below of the story and our wonderful creations.
You will see from our home link information that we have been finding out about Mary Anning - the fossil hunter..... we then decided that we wanted to investigate our outdoor area and see if we could locate any fossils.... have a look at our adventures!
