We have returned to school very enthusiastic learners! We have been talking about our previous learning and also finding out about a new character that we can help. We discussed the characters that we have been investigating and came up with some wonderful ideas to help them...such as; a chocolate shop for Andy, Hatty and Princess Pearl, a potion to help the unicorn fly and also a caravan so all the characters could go on holiday together! In our writing we have been creating diary entries - these have been very detailed and we have used our phonic and keyword knowledge to help us. In maths we have been continuing with our subitising and counting skills, as well as beginning to solve addition problems. We have also bee finding out about our local church - it is very old and we are using it as a focus for our gala artwork. Look at some of our learning during our learning walk and activities below:
Zog had a wonderful Easter break and met a new friend. The new friend lives in a park and looks after all the animals. It is Percy the Park Keeper! We are finding out lots about him and he has sent us some challenges to complete.......
Percy is great at growing things. In his park he grows lots of vegetables. He thought that we would like to investigate this and grow something ourselves so he sent us some potatoes! Mrs Goude 'chitted' them and we are now able to plant them in our group planters. I wonder what will happen?
What a fabulous week of challenges - see below some of our work
