English:
This week we have started a new unit all focused around the Supertato series of books. We are going to start by looking at instructions and writing a set of instructions to help Supertato defeat the evil pea! We have begun by identifying features of instructions and starting to compile a list of equipment he might need.
Maths:
In Beech class, we have been measuring height and length. We have used rulers to measure smaller objects and metre sticks to measure larger areas. We even worked together to find the length of the playground!
In Cherry class, we have been looking at numbers up to 50. We have made multiples of 10 by creating equal groups.
Topic:
In Science this week we have been looking at everyday materials and some of their properties. In DT we are going to make use of our materials knowledge and will be designing and making our own hand puppets over the next few weeks. For our session this week, we looked at existing hand puppets and thought about what we liked/disliked about them.
