24.3.25

Our learning walk this week continued with all our previous learning BUT we had to come up with ideas together!  We had some fabulous discussions, an example was the Orca group who made a plane to bring Princess Pearl and Sir Gadabout to Poppledown Town, with a hotel made in the sand pit and food for them to enjoy!  See the learning walk below for more information.

In other learning we have been very busy this week - finding out about a 'Dirty Great Dinosaur', investigating size with Tiny the dinosaur and exploring reading and writing using our sound and keyword knowledge.  We have also been learning about Mr Benn.  He is in stories from when Mrs Attrill, Mrs Goude and Mrs Stevens were young.  He went on lots of adventures and even met cavemen!  We then used this knowledge to create our own caves using our den making resources.  We have also developed our understanding of programmable toys, using the beebot to move around a mat.  We had to give it many instructions and see where it went!

Please see the document above with more information about our learning this week and with some links to support our work at home.  If you have any questions, please email Mrs Stevens on pineclass@manea.cambs.sch.uk.

Mr Benn in The Caveman (Episode 8)

A stone-age community live right next to a dusty and dangerous road, frequented by dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals, but want to live in the fresh green countryside. There is just one problem: there are no caves. Mr Benn has the answer; they can build stone huts.

Look at our wonderful 'caves' for the cavemen....

FOOTBALL DAY!!!!  What an amazing session with the football coaches.  Mrs Stevens was very proud of how we all listened and worked together.  The coach thought we were wonderful!  See some of the fun below:
