Percy has sent us a new story this week - 'Very Hungry caterpillar'. We have then gone on lots of minibeast hunts and also found out how to draw a caterpillar, taken part in minibeast yoga and also learnt a new song. In our literacy we have been discussing the characters in the Percy story, then creating them new homes. We then wrote captions about them. In maths we have been learning about numbers to 20. We have also been discussing lots of ways that we are unique but working together with all our friends is very important. We have also been on learning walk to discuss our own challenges which you can see more information about below.
After reading 'The Hungry Caterpillar' we used our drawing club session to draw our own and then went on group minibeast hunts! We investigated our outdoor area and then created our very own tally charts. This led to discussions about how many we found, what minibeast was found the most and what was the rarest!
