3.2.25

In our learning walk this week we have been considering all the different characters that Zog and the flying doctors helped in their new story.  We discussed what we could do to help them as well and then worked together to identify and create our own challenges.  See the information below and look at some of our hard work!

In other learning this week we are helping a 'Woolly Mammoth!' from the story 'How to wash a Woolly Mammoth'.  We have listened very carefully to this story and then used it in our drawing club focus work where we have created our own machines to wash the mammoth!  We also retold the story using props, ensuring that we remembered the sequences throughout the book.  In our forest school session we investigated our trees to see if we could find the one that the mammoth would have climbed.

In maths we have enjoyed number rhymes and songs and focused our learning on counting carefully to 7.  We have also been reciting to 30 which has really helped us in our celebration hide and seek game.

Please see the home link document above and if you require further information, please email Mrs Stevens on pineclass@manea.cambs.sch.uk.

We then read 'How to Wash a Woolly Mammoth' and retold the story using props.  We had to use the book to make sure we were acting it in the right order!

We then went on an investigation..... could we find the tree that the Mammoth climbed?  We explored our trees in our outdoor area and then had an idea - we would investigate the bark by doing bark rubbings!

We then decided to create our very own inventions to help wash him - we had lots of ideas and then created our own codes to make them work.  Have a look at them below!

We have worked very hard on our continuous provision challenges this week - see some of our work below:
