Wow, what a Busy Start to the New Term!
We hope you and your families had a lovely Easter break. It's been a busy and exciting few day back in school for Year 1 and 2.

In Maths, Year 1 have been practising counting in 2s, 5s, and 10s to support their understanding of multiplication and division. Meanwhile, Year 2 have started their new unit on fractions, beginning with identifying wholes and halves.

In English, both year groups have been exploring shape poetry. The children have enjoyed identifying interesting adjectives and verbs to describe various shapes. Year 1 have written poems about castles, the sun, and bugs, using their creative ideas to bring each topic to life.

As part of our Topic work, the children have created beautiful stained-glass windows, inspired by our visit to St Nicholas’ Church last term, where we admired the stunning stained-glass artwork. Please take a look at them in the photos below.
