English:
Over the last two weeks we have been been exploring the stories of Supertato in preparation for writing our own versions of the story. We have created our own heroes and villains with alliterative names and next week we will be writing our narratives. We are all really enjoying these stories!
Maths:
In Year 1, we have been exploring capacity and volume and have had lots of fun measuring with water and making our own potions. In Year 2, we have been revisiting our written methods for addition and subtraction. We have been drawing numberlines and using tens frames.
Foundation:
In Science we experimented with different materials to make a protection suit for Humpty Dumpty. We worked together to build a suit and dressed our egg in it. We then pushed our egg of the wall, and both classes were able to save Humpty Dumpty! In DT we have begun to sew our hand puppets. We cut out our designs in felt and have used running stitch to join our pieces together. We are looking forward to showing these to you soon!
