Maths:
This week in maths we have all been completing some quizzes to see what we can remember. These have been based on the place value, addition and subtraction and shape units that we have covered so far this year.
Year 1 have also been recapping addition and subtraction and practising applying these skills. Year 2 have completed some more work on shape; focussing on lines of symmetry.
English:
In English, we have been writing another non-chronological report; this time about elves!
We have created our own sub-headings, collected key vocabulary which we have used in our sentences and have started publishing our finished reports.
Topic:
Our topic this week has been science. We have been thinking about seasonal changes that occur in the UK. We have created a season wheel to show the weather in Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, have thought about what to wear in the different seasons and some activities that we might take part in based on the seasons.
