Year 1 and 2 have worked incredibly hard this week and truly deserve a well-earned rest!
In English, the children proudly published their diary recounts – a fantastic achievement. It’s been wonderful to see their enthusiasm as they retold the events of the Great Fire of London from the perspective of Vlad the rat. They've really enjoyed this unit, and it’s been lovely to see their creativity shine.
In maths, both year groups explored fractions, using sentence stems to help the learning stick. Year 2 also began learning about time and will continue to build on these skills. Year 1 worked especially hard to understand that two equal parts make a half, and four quarters make a whole.
We also finished creating our stick people, and we’ve added some photos below for you to enjoy!
We hope you and your families have a lovely half term and we look forward to starting our activities for next term very soon!
