We have lots of learning to do this week, from learning our first sounds in phonics, to number rhymes, building and creating. We are also creating our own self portraits for our class board. We have continued with our number rhyme focus and discussed which ones are our favourites. Safety Spies have started and our class helpers have been going outside to make sure our environment is safe to use then feedback to the rest of the class. We have been very hard working and are extremely proud of our work.

Block area focus work this week has been to create for a purpose. We had to think and talk with Mrs Goude about what we could make for Baby Bear. We came up with some amazing ideas; the Foxes group made a house with a big bed for all the bears, the Robin group made a pirate ship so he could go to the seaside, the Hedgehog group made a rocket to go to the moon and then the Squirrel group made a fabulous house for the family. During our forest school work this week we have been creating for Baby Bear. We talked about the different foods that we liked and thought that Baby Bear would like too. We were working hard on the skills of listening carefully and working together. We created: cheese pizzas, tea and a jam sandwich, chocolate cakes, pancakes, yorkshires, broccoli and carrots, pasta, sausages and ice cream! Look at the photographs below for our amazing creations!
