This week we are very busy in our learning. We have new sounds to learn, letters to learn how to form correctly, objects to sort, textures to describe and teddy bears to cut out! We will be very focused in our guided and focus work as well as continuing with our focus of working with our friends, beginning to listen to their ideas and following the expectations of our classroom to make sure we are safe.

In our phonics, as well as learning new sounds, we are developing the skills of blending. We have been playing an Ispy game. We look at the objects carefully and then Mrs Stevens says one - using the sounds in the words. For example if she says b-u-s, then we have to find the bus! It was great fun and she was very proud of our careful listening.
What can you see? Can you practice blending at home?

Baby bear has set us a challenge. We had to make our own bears! He sent us some pictures with clothes that we could cut out. We had to choose the clothes that we wanted our bears to wear and then hold the scissors very carefully. They looked amazing!
