This week is all about Goldilocks and the 3 bears. We have been retelling the story and acting it out, thinking of ways to help the bears and creating for them. We have used our outdoor learning sessions to continue with this focus and create for the different characters. We have been learning new sounds and beginning to use the skills of blending, where we put the sounds we have been learning together to create words. In maths we have been investigating big and small and also starting to ensure we are counting carefully. What a busy week. In our challenges this week we have to think carefully about what to create for baby bear. We work with our friends in the different outside areas and come up with many fabulous plans...... We have been making porridge potions, birthday cakes, trains, castles and even a delicious cup of tea! Baby bear will be very pleased!
Retelling Goldilocks
We had great fun in our hall session acting out the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We really enjoyed, stomping through the forest as the bears, skipping to the cottage as Goldilocks, making the porridge, breaking the chair and sleeping in the bed. Our very favourite part was when the bears found Goldilocks! We remembered all the parts of the story and were very proud of ourselves.
