This week we are developing our ideas about Zog, using the new characters as a basis for our work. We are also continuing with our 'listening to each other' focus. You can see some of our fabulous work in our learning walk below.
In literacy we are consolidating the sounds, digraphs and trigraphs that we have been learning, as well as keywords which we are applying in writing sentences and captions. In maths we are continuing with our counting, more or less work and solving lots of problems. It is also Chinese New Year so we are finding out about this new celebration. We have even created our own dragon for the celebration. We are very proud of our work this half term and have been discussing what we have enjoyed.
Please see the home link document above, and if you require any further information to consolidate learning at home, please email Mrs Stevens on pineclass@manea.cambs.sch.uk.
Creating our own Chinese Dragon to celebrate the Lunar New Year....
We used the wonderful dragon mask to start our constructions then discussed together what we would need 'it must have some spikes and a curvy body', 'we need a tail, a whirly tail,' 'it needs to be read, because red is lucky!' Look at the photographs below....
Look at some of the AMAZING challenges that we did this week!
