Percy has a big job to do today, because He's planning to fix up the old maze which is nearby the park, since the hedges in the maze have now become overgrown and need to be trimmed down. However, Percy's animal friends are also planning to surprise Him by secretly meeting Percy in the maze too....
This week we are continuing with our Percy the Park Keeper work. We are reading a new story called 'The Secret Path' and going on our own investigations of secret paths in our woods. We are also writing sentences about what we can see in our outdoor area as well as continuing with our diary writing. In maths we are finding out different ways of making 10 which involves counting very, very carefully! We are also developing our drawing skills by drawing a character from the park.
In our learning walk we are exploring new ways of helping Percy and the characters in the park. Find out below what ideas we have come up with!

Our Learning Walk
Our own secret path adventure
We really enjoyed this story and how Percy and his friends helped each other. We then went with Mrs Goude on an adventure on our own secret path - through the woods! We discussed all of the wonderful things that we saw and we even saw some homes that we thought badger and fox would live in. Look at the pictures below of some wonderful things we saw.
