This week we are focusing on helping Zog even further! We are introduced to another friend that he met..... a penguin. In the story the penguin is quite upset so we have decided to make our own penguin friends for him! We are also talking about who can help us if we are sad or upset - our safety circles. In our literacy we are writing simple sentences using our sound and keyword knowledge and also reading words using our new digraphs in them! In maths we are developing our number knowledge to 6 and solving lots of problems within this range to make sure we are confident with ordering, counting, saying one more and one less than. Our learning walk below shows what amazing ideas we came up with and how we worked together well. Please see the document above to support consolidation of learning at home and if you require any further information, please email Mrs Stevens on pineclass@manea.cambs.sch.uk
We loved the story Lost and Found and then discussed how we could help them find their way to our school - we then decided to create our own maps. We walked around our outdoor area and identified features that we felt would be good to show on the map. Mrs Goude then helped us to position them on the map to then share with Zog and the Lost and Found characters!
