Football Factory Football Fun - Friday 28th March 2025

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming coaches from Football Fun Factory to our school. Every class had the opportunity to participate in an engaging and enjoyable football session.

As part of #LetGirlsPlay Day, a national campaign dedicated to breaking down barriers for girls in football, the coaches structured sessions to provide equal opportunities for both boys and girls. The enthusiasm from our pupils was fantastic, with many already asking when we can invite the coaches back!

Well done to all the children for demonstrating such a positive attitude throughout the sessions.

Year 4 Netball festival - Wednesday 5th March, 2025.

8 Year 4 children attended a netball festival at Vista Academy, Littleport. The children took part in a number of fun themed netball activities and a festival of matches. The children blew Mr Lenton-Boon away with their passion, teamwork and skill level, to win all their festival matches. The lady who was running the competition said "There are certainly some up and coming netball stars here" Well done to all the children that took part.

On Thursday, 13th February, the Year 3 and 4 football team welcomed Cromwell Primary for a friendly match on our school pitch.

The game was played in great spirits, with pupils from both schools thoroughly enjoying the afternoon. In a closely contested match, Manea emerged victorious with a 4-3 win. The team is already looking forward to their next fixture!

Year 3 & 4 Panathlon sports event - Friday 7th February 2025

8 children were chosen to take part in a Panathlon event at Soham College. The children took part in a carousel of sporting activities that included: Boccia, table cricket, basketball, bean bag throwing, skittles and curling. The children loved the morning and were even more delighted when they all won a medal and certificate to take home with them. The children represented the school brilliantly and we can't wait to be involved in more events in the future. Please check out the pictures below from the event.

Year 5 & 6 Football festival - Friday 31st January 2025.

Manea win the cup!

A team of nine Year 5 and Year 6 students represented Manea Primary at a football festival hosted by Westwood Primary in March. Competing in a round-robin format against six other schools, the team demonstrated exceptional teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship—ultimately securing victory!

Every player contributed to the team's success, showcasing the key attributes of a strong and cohesive squad. A special commendation goes to Elliot, who delivered an outstanding performance by scoring eight goals throughout the afternoon.

We are incredibly proud of the team's achievement and look forward to our next festival in the month of March.
