This week is our last in Reception. It is a week of celebrations. Mrs Stevens, Mrs Attrill, Mrs Simpson and Mrs Goude are all so very proud of the hard work that we have done throughout the year. Our learning walk discussions are all about what we would like to do next..... what activities can we do in the different areas and our ideas. We will be revisiting all our texts using the story 'Charlie Cook's favourite book' and discussing what we are looking forward to in year 1. We also have our jump up day with Miss Hills and Mrs Wayman - we are very excited. We have finished our dream catchers, ready to take home for the summer and they will keep us and our dreams safe for next year.
We would all like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your wonderful children. They have been amazing and we wish them every success for their futures.
Please see the home link document above and if you have any questions, please email Mrs Stevens on pineclass@manea.cambs.sch.uk
Our dreamcatchers
We had to lop the willow, then twist it into a circle. We then weaved string into the middle and added a feather........... Look at our work
Our fantastic writing......
Harvesting our Potatoes
As you will remember, Percy sent us some seed potatoes to grow in our outdoor area. We have taken care of them over the last few months and have harvested them! It was amazing to see how they had grown and how the little potatoes had appeared at the roots of the plant. We worked together to carefully dig them up. We then had to wash them, ready for eating!
Once they were clean, we cut them and added oil. They were then put in the oven to cook. We let them cool down and then had them for an afternoon snack! DELICIOUS!
