This week it is all about helping rabbit! We are reading the story 'The Rescue Party' and discussing how we can help the very sad rabbit! In our writing we will be creating simple sentences about rabbit and how she must feel. We are also reading simple sentences and sharing understanding through comprehension activities. In maths we are looking at different ways of making 10. In our forest school we are continuing with making dream catchers and also continuing our exploration through minibeast hunts. We also have another problem to solve. Poppy, our class duck, then got stuck in the tree and was too frightened to fly down! We had to think of ways that we could save her!

Saving the duck......... we worked hard to come up with a way of helping Poppy the duck get down from the tree..... one idea was to bring in a trampoline so she could jump down - however it was then agreed that a ladder would be best! We worked very hard to create a VERY long ladder, rolling, sticking and measuring. Look at the work below
