This week has been a very busy one! Baby Bear has been out at the weekend and met a hedgehog friend who has told him all about how he gets ready to hibernate through the long winter.
In phonics we have been finding out about some new letter sounds and during our investigations we went into the hall for a movement session. We became phonic robots, moving and saying the sounds when the letter was shown. We then had to pair up with another robot and move to the correct sound that was placed around the room!
In maths we have been discussing size which linked well to our story. We have then been investigating the bear's collection of buttons - they were amazing - lots of different shapes and sizes that we needed to talk about and sort.
In other learning we have been retelling the story of Goldilocks and the 3 bears and also finding out how to draw a bear!
Please see more information and links to support learning at home on our home link document above and if you have any questions, or would like to find out more, please email Mrs Stevens on pineclass@manea.cambs.sch.uk

We have started our week with exploring and investigating. We have been discussing our rules and routines and how sharing ideas with our friends helps us with our learning. We have made cakes for the bears, created hot chocolate in the forest school with a bit batch of soup, made a rocket to go to the moon in the block area, created pictures for the bears, explored the sandpit, shared on the swing, investigated the conkers that Baby bear found, balanced on the tyres and went on a minibeast hunt! Share our work in the photographs below:

Look at some of our songs that we enjoyed this week......
We have enjoyed a song about some aliens this week - I wonder if baby bear saw them when he went to the moon?
After reading our text 'Goldilocks and the 3 Bears' (more information is on the home link document) we enjoyed the following song......

All about hibernation....... Did you know that some animals like to have a big sleep during the winter? We found out about a hedgehog that made a fabulous hibernation home and the friends that joined them in it. We then found out that bears also hibernate so we decided to create a hibernation area in our outside space. We worked as a team to create together. Look below at some of our creations:
We listened VERY hard to the instructions on how to draw a teddy bear...... Look how fabulous our drawings are:
BOOGIE BOUNCE.....
WOW! We absolutely LOVED this session and are going to ask Mr Bishop if they can come back one day! Please look out for the 'bounce socks' that your children will be bringing home.
