Wow! What a fantastic time Year 1 and Year 2 have had starting their stick people project.
The children loved heading outdoors for a scavenger hunt, where they explored and collected a wonderful variety of sticks. Back in class, we began the exciting process of bringing our stick people to life by adding different materials.
Take a look at our class page to see how this creative journey begun.
Year 6 Football Victory! ⚽️🎉
A huge well done to the Year 6 football team who secured an impressive 11–4 win against Alderman Jacobs School! The team played brilliantly, showing great teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the match. Special mention goes to Jake and Rowan, who both played their first ever matches for the school – fantastic effort from both! We’re proud of everyone involved. Keep it up, team!
The children in years 3 and 4 have been introduced to the recorder. The children have been working hard on learning a performance piece called the Enchanted Forest. They have been busy learning chants, movements and this week have played their first controlled note on the recorder!
Reception have been finding out about Percy the Park Keeper. They have read his story 'After the Storm'. Percy then set them a challenge of planting their own potatoes and creating new homes for the animals. Have a look at our wonderful work on our class pages for this half term.
