• Map work in Year R

  Reception have been map making this week!  They had to investigate the outdoor area and identify features that would help Zog find us again!  Have a look on our class page to find out more

• Year 5 & 6 Gymnastics

  Year 5 and 6 thoroughly enjoyed their gymnastics lesson this week with Imogen. The children learned and practised key movements including straddle, pike and tuck, before confidently applying these shapes within a range of jumps. It was fantastic to see pupils developing their control, balance and confidence as they linked movements together and performed some impressive sequences.

  

• Panathlon Champions! 🏆

  Ten of our fantastic Year 4, 5 and 6 pupils took part in the Panathlon at Neale-Wade Academy, where they competed in a wide range of exciting and inclusive challenges. The children showed incredible determination, teamwork and resilience throughout the event and performed amazingly, finishing in first place overall. We are extremely proud of their outstanding effort, sportsmanship and positive attitude – a brilliant achievement for everyone involved! 🏆👏

  

• Burwell

  Our year three and four children, had an amazing time away at Burwell house this week. They were an absolute credit to our school, working fantastically together as a team- and developing their independence skills, even making their own beds. • Burwell House Updates

  Thursday PM- The children have all been having lots of fun with team challenges this morning.  They got muddy then had a treat with cake this afternoon! They are looking forward to a good sleep tonight.

   

  Thursday- We had a lovely evening playing games and showing off our talents. The children even made their own beds (with a little help) ready for tonight. 

   

  Friday Am- The children slept well last night, with some up bright and early this morning. 

   

  Friday- 10.30. We’ve had a lovely breakfast and are completing some more activities. One group had made some lovely enamel key rings- whilst the others are in the tv studio! 

   

  Friday 2:15- We are on our way home and are due back by the end of the school day. We will be taking the children into the hall before letting them out from the usual doors. 

• Year 1 and 2 Art making

  KS1 Art – Simple Print Making

  Year 1 and 2 have begun their new art topic this week: simple print making. In their first lesson, the children explored how to use materials creatively by designing and making prints using parts of their bodies.

  The children used only their fingers and hands to create their artwork and were challenged to work with just the primary colours – red, yellow and blue. They experimented with pressing, dabbing and mixing colours to create different patterns and effects.

  It was a very messy afternoon, but the children had great fun and produced some amazing artwork. Take a look at the fantastic prints on our class page that they created using only their fingers and hands!
