Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Our Year 5 and 6 children had a fantastic time taking part in our World War Two themed day. It was wonderful to see so many pupils going the extra mile with their costumes, really helping to bring the day to life.
Throughout the day, the children took part in a range of hands-on activities. They enjoyed baking honey and ginger biscuits using a real rationing-era recipe and showed great creativity when building Anderson shelters using both natural and craft materials. It was particularly lovely to see such strong teamwork and collaboration during these tasks.
The children also stepped back in time as they learned some Charleston dance moves and played playground games from the wartime era. Everyone joined in enthusiastically, and the performances at the end of the day were a real highlight.
In the afternoon, the children prepared for a VE Day celebration by making bunting and flags. This led to a wonderful celebration where they had the chance to try foods from the era—including spam! Both children and adults had a fantastic time, and it was a memorable way to deepen their understanding of life during World War Two.
Today has been Red Nose Day!

In History this week, Year 1 and 2 learnt all about Charles Darwin and Neil Armstrong. After exploring who these famous explorers were and why they are important, we came up with some questions we would love to ask them. Take a look at our class pages to see the questions we thought of and wrote.
Door Decorating
To celebrate Book Week, each class have been given a book from the Little People, Big Dreams series, which focus on influential figures. We have decorated our doors to celebrate our chosen person and have spent the week finding out more about them. We have also enjoyed a class reading swap, where KS2 children came to share a book with Pre-School and KS1. We have had a wonderful Book Week!
This week has been World Book Day and the reception class have dressed up as some of their favourite characters. They have also worked hard all week related to story books and a non fiction text. See our class webpage for more information:
