Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming coaches from Football Fun Factory to our school. Every class had the opportunity to participate in an engaging and enjoyable football session.
As part of #LetGirlsPlay Day, a national campaign dedicated to breaking down barriers for girls in football, the coaches structured sessions to provide equal opportunities for both boys and girls. The enthusiasm from our pupils was fantastic, with many already asking when we can invite the coaches back!
Well done to all the children for demonstrating such a positive attitude throughout the sessions.
Over the past few weeks, the children in Ash and Willow have been busy creating leaflets persuading people to visit Greece. All the children have done extremely well!

This week we have celebrated book week and World Book Day. As part of our celebrations, we have all decorated our classroom doors. We have all been incredibly creative and worked so hard to transform our doors to reflect our love of reading. We hope you enjoy seeing them!
On Thursday, 13th February, the Year 3 and 4 football team welcomed Cromwell Primary for a friendly match on our school pitch.
The game was played in great spirits, with pupils from both schools thoroughly enjoying the afternoon. In a closely contested match, Manea emerged victorious with a 4-3 win. The team is already looking forward to their next fixture!
This week we were lucky enough to be joined by author C.S Clifford. He visited Manea school for 2 days and spent time working with all classes. He shared some of his favourite stories and answered questions about how he became an author. He also ran creative writing and story telling workshops. What a wonderful experience we all had!
8 children were chosen to take part in a Panathlon event at Soham College. The children took part in a carousel of sporting activities that included: Boccia, table cricket, basketball, bean bag throwing, skittles and curling. The children loved the morning and were even more delighted when they all won a medal and certificate to take home with them. The children represented the school brilliantly and we can't wait to be involved in more events in the future. Please check out the pictures below from the event.
Reception have enjoyed celebrating Chinese New Year this week. They have completed lots of challenges including a yoga session and created their own lanterns. See our webpage for more of the wonderful work that they have been doing
A team of nine Year 5 and Year 6 students represented Manea Primary at a football festival hosted by Westwood Primary in March. Competing in a round-robin format against six other schools, the team demonstrated exceptional teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship—ultimately securing victory!
Every player contributed to the team's success, showcasing the key attributes of a strong and cohesive squad. A special commendation goes to Elliot, who delivered an outstanding performance by scoring eight goals throughout the afternoon.
We are incredibly proud of the team's achievement and look forward to our next festival in March
Mr. Bishop and Mr. Lenton-Boon are delighted to share an update on the progress of our times tables work with our wider community.
Each day, children in Years 3 and 4 participate in a 15-minute times table intervention, focusing on mastering a specific times table each week. This dedicated practice has proven highly beneficial, with pupils demonstrating enthusiasm and commitment to their learning. Their positive attitude and determination have been truly inspiring, and we are thrilled to see so many children progressing to the next level each week.
Well done, Years 3 and 4!
Keep up the great work, and don’t forget to practise at home!
