  • KS1 Sculptures

    Thu 02 May 2024

Children in Year 1 and 2 have really enjoyed their Art topic over the last few weeks. We began the unit by thinking about what sculpture is and the different materials we could use. We then had a super visit from Twenty20 who delivered a paper sculpture session - allowing the children to use strips of coloured paper to be as creative as possible and make a variety of shapes and patterns. The children then applied these skills and used a variety of recycling to design and build their own boats. We hope you enjoy seeing some of our super sculptures!

  • Skylark Garden Centre help our Reception Class

    Thu 21 Mar 2024

As we will be having some building work in our school soon, The Reception Class are developing a new area to use as their forest school.  They have worked very hard clearing and organising the area and then said that they wanted to grass it.  They then sent emails to local garden centres to ask if they would help them in this venture.  Skylark Garden Centre took up the challenge and sent us enough seed to develop the site.  Reception will update their class pages with the work that they do to prepare the area and the scarecrows that they will create to help the seeds grow!

We want to take this opportunity to thank the team at Skylark for all their support.

  • Library Bus

    Thu 14 Mar 2024

They each chose a selection of fiction and non-fiction texts which they wanted to share with their year groups. We will be visiting the Library Bus each month and we can't wait for our next trip!
